Attorney Megan Nicolaysen was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, but moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado at a young age.
As a Colorado transplant from the desert, she prefers to enjoy the Colorado snow from inside with a warm blanket and a cup of coffee.
Megan is passionate about legal writing, as well as doing thorough research to solve complex legal problems.
In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her two cats, watching movies, and doing crafts like crochet and sewing.
Megan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder, concentrating in Euphonium.
At the end of her time at the CU Boulder College of Music, she decided to change paths and pursue a career in law.
She attended the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
During her time there, Megan served on the school’s Student Bar Association.
She also served as an Associate Editor of the University of Louisville Law Review, and was one of nine student authors selected for publication in the Law Review’s 61st Volume.
Throughout law school, Megan worked and interned exclusively at personal injury law firms — building a solid foundation for her current career in personal injury.
After moving back to Colorado and passing the Colorado Bar Exam, Megan spent most of her first year of practice doing juvenile dependency and neglect law through a government office.
However, her passion remained in personal injury — this led Megan Nicolaysen to joining the Springs Law Group team in September 2024 as a Litigation Attorney.
Megan is passionate about advocating for her clients in the courtroom and throughout the litigation process to ensure that they receive the compensation that they deserve.
